Good News on the Writing Front

Just learned today that I was accepted into the Producers Guild of America's "The Power of Diversity" Workshop .

The application process was in-depth to say the least. It required a 5-6 page treatment, a pilot synopsis and an artist's statement. The second step was a final interview in front of a panel of producers on the Diversity committee. All quite nerve wracking but luckily (hooray) I made the cut. I'm incredibly excited that they accepted as this script is something I'm passionate about. Not sure what to expect but judging from past workshop speakers including Marshall Herskovitz (Defiance, Blood Diamond, The Last Samurai) Damon Lindelof (Lost, Star Trek) and Mark Gordon (Grey's Anatomy, Saving Private Ryan, 2012) I'll be learning from the best in the business. Looking forward to continuing to grow as a writer and hopefully one day, a full fledged producer.

I just came across your blog through another actor's blog. I just moved to LA in February and have been blogging everyday about my experiences.

My blog is http://www.themysteryyear.com/

Anyway, I'm just connecting with other LA actor-bloggers, and I liked yours. Congrats on the PGA workshop!

Best of luck!
